  • First strawberries! So pleased!

I have got about 4 red strawberries and loads more just about to turn! They are as bright as jewels! My first time ever. Planted out about 10 plants last autumn from some a friend gave me so don't know what variety they are, but I left them wrapped in newspaper for ages! Just covered them up from any hungry birds but forgot to put slug pellets down. Put some organic pellets down couple w/ends ago and that seems to have done the trick.

Congrats, its a great feeling isnt it. Had my first one a couple of days ago, and have a few more on the turn. So yummy.

Mine are still green, but it's still exciting as it's the first time I've grown strawberries. Well done you!
