  • Different Strawberries

I brought from Thompson & Morgan strawberry plants. They did an offer of 4 Florence, 4 Flamingo, and 4 Elegance. I have put them in 4 stack pots. The Florence are really doing well and the Flamingo are doing well but slower in flowering. The Elegance seem to have problems, I have had to take one out as it died, one has brown leaves and the other two seem to just be growing. Is the Elegance sensitive? In the stack pot I have put one of each plant in each corner of the pot x 4. I have given them some food now as they are flowering.
Do strawberries have different yields? Which is the best strawberries so I know for next year.

Strawberries definitely have different yields and fruiting times. I don't grow any if those types but aren't Flamingo an ever bearing type? Could have imagined that though. I grow Honeyone as a must have, really big, juicy and sweet in my soil (although somebody on here says they just don't perform for them) with HUGE yields. I replaced my later plants with Lucy last year as I didn't rate Symphony as I found them much less juicy (although they would transport better). Can't yet comment on Lucy but they look good for this year

Just realised its Flamenco not Flamingo which are ever bearing so ignore that bit of my comment

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
