  • Damson flowering in August

So, for the second year running my Damson tree is starting to flower in August... ?!

It flowered in the spring, and has a few fruit currently ripening (not many though), but at the same there are flower buds and flowers opening.

I have no idea what is going on! Could I be doing something wrong whilst pruning to cause this? Is it a symptom of something nasty? or just strange

My Irish Peach apple tree is also flowering. Its a very confused apple tree - it thinks its a peach.

I've never had one flower in August, but both this year and last my Czar plum has produced half a dozen flowerss in about mid-July. One of them even pollinated this year, and is now about damson size, while all the others are ripe and being picked. I'm hoping it will grow and ripen before the end of October.
