  • Apple tree

I planted a small apple tree that I brought here from my last house where it was in a large pot. I've put in in the middle of the back garden, but now I realize I should have put it against a wall so that I can train it, saving space and with it being a south facing wall, giving it plenty of exposure.

Given that it won't have established itself fully yet, I don't think (it's been in the ground about two months) would it be ok to move it, or should I just wait until winter when it is dormant?

    Hi there Gary!

I think I'd leave it until the autumn now- just make sure you water it well between now and then so it gets a good rootball established.

You wouldn't be pruning it until the autumn/spring anyway so there's no problem in delaying it's transfer!
