I originally sowed mine in 1.5" newspaper pots and then potted on into 3" pots when they were about the size yours are now but because they were in the newspaper pots they didn't get any root disturbance. They do start growing on quite quickly now the weather is warmer but they've got quite a long way to go yet. Pot them on and see how they go. Mine are now in window boxes and the whole plants are a max of about 4" across. Grew some a few years ago and they fruited well from a Jan sowing in their first year but I think these ones are slightly behind that with the weather being cooler. When did you sow yours?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Subscribed! I got alpine strawberry seeds for christmas and sowed them in a propagator in January. They've been in 3" pots for about 2 months but really in the last month they have had a growth spurt so it will be interesting to see if mine fruit this year.
I would have posted a picture of mine but I keep getting an upload failure
          What would Delia do?

I gave up on my Alpine sowings.. will start them off earlier next time. I bought some small plants from the GC - they're really thriving now and have unripe strawberries on them - never had them before so looking forward to them.

Mine grow like weeds and they through up loads of runners. I am forever ripping up plants, it is amazing the location these grow in.

At least you get a long cropping period, if the blackbirds don't get to them first.
