after our glorious early spring,we have had one day in the last 3 weeks where it hasnt rained heavy,so i dont think the pear trees will do any good,approx 2ft of rain in 19/20 days,will be looking for the recommended hessle variety to replace them,80mph winds for a day or two didnt help,snapped 60/70% of my late raspberries/blackcurrant/gooseberry crops,even rhubarb was hammered....
