  • New Horizon Soil Improver with loads of mould

    Hi

I got some New Horizon Soil Improver yesterday and when dh added it to my raised bed it actually looked grey because it was full of mould.

    So my questions are:

Will the mould cause any harm?

It has been laid on the surface but not dug into the bed yet, should I remove it?

    Thanks

hello,I use a fantastic plant food/soil feeder by the name of groworganic and this also leaves a greyish mould on the soil surface when used. The answer is to make sure you mix it well into the soils top inch or two,the mould will then go. I have never had a problem with the mould on the surface of the soil near any of my plants, but it does look unsightly so dig it in. happy growing and here's to improving your soil!
