  • Leafy Walkway

I have a narrow walkway between a large garden shed and neighbour's garden border. The neighbour's trees have shed their leaves on this walkway and I've decided to leave them there as alternative compost making. I'm thinking of chucking more leaves (from neighbour's garden) on this walkway (has black mulching sheet underneath). Does anyone thinks it's a bad idea?

Dunno - won't it be a bit 'orrible to walk on if it's a walkway? Or perhaps this will break the leaves down quicker?

What is a 'black mulching sheet'? If it's a plastic sheet, get rid of it or your leaves will just go slimy underneath. Better to leave them onto soil so as not to collect rain water.
I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!

It was never really intended as a walkway (hardly much traffic), just a gap that I like to keep neat & tidy and weed free for good feng shui.

The mulching sheet is the sort that lets water through.
