    Hi

    There are pieces of jelly in my compost, I have never seen this before.
    B+Q super enriched. You can only see this jelly after watering, it seems to come to the top of the plant pot.

    Does the compost contain water-retaining gel? If so it's probably that, it's acylamide powder that turns to jelly when mixed with water.

      the compost I buy also has this 'jelly'. It's water retaining gel

            Its a polymer which when moistened absorbs hundreds of times it's own weight in water.
            Can be counter productive early season when we have cold wet weather!
