    Default Does anyone give to a foodbank?

    I know Iíll have a glut of some things, especially butternut squash and spuds, and Iím thinking of offering some to a local foodbank ( when I find one ).

    Has anyone done this?

    Yes.
    Last summer, a ?council run project left a large plastic box at each allotment site for donations, collected every Tuesday, for around 6 weeks over the summer holidays. A time when families don’t have the benefit of free school dinners, but allotment holders often have gluts

    I give to the local church and the old folks club, local food bank will not take perishable foodstuffs.
