  • Composting Mint tea?

I drink a lot of peppermint tea made from bought dried leaves.
    Two questions please
Is is safe to compost the spent leaves without fear of creating a mint infested bed?
Will it actually do any good to compost mint tea leaves?

Can't wait for the time when my mint plants come up and I can make it fresh from the leaf. Nothing better!

    Many thanks

Tea leaves won't produce mint plants. If you think about it, they've been dried and boiled so no life left in them. Mint tea leaves can be added to the compost, as can ordinary tea leaves.

You should be composting their cardboard box too: it all rots down to improve the soil

My peppermint has just come back to life in the unheated gh: it does wonders for OH's indigestion
