Well, because we were expecting heavy snow fall I actually went out last Sunday and covered the raised beds with fleece. Not sure if this was the right thing to do, but did it anyway as I thought the weight of the snow might do damage. Worked quite well. Have been out after every snowfall to clear the snow off. Hopefully all the other frosts we've had over the winter have been enough to make the Garlic split. The Garlic in the ground and the pots on the patio have had to fend for themselves, so ...

Woohoo, finally all 7 Chesnok are showing, so that means all 56 in the raised beds have got atleast that far. There are 12 showing in the little bed by the greenhouse and another 12 in three pots on the patio, making a total of 80. Also, they do seem to have shot up a bit in the past week. On some of the Lautrec & Early Purple Wight the leaves are 10 inches long now.

Again, a bit late posting this. I did go and have a look around on the day, but forgot to post as I was busy with other things. Not much to report really. It's been foggy the past couple of days, which I think has held the heat in so it hasn't been so freezing cold. But there doesn't seem to have been any discernable progress in the Garlic department in the raised beds. The odds in the bed next to the greenhouse are now 12.
