    Snow has all but gone, and almost warm outside today.

    Took a trip to the GC to top up on compost, managed to resist buying anything else which is a miracle on its own

    Melons, Sweet Peas, and tomatoes were up in 3 days, and are already 4 inches tall. Transferred them to an unheated propoagator in the greenhouse(also unheated). Hopefully they will be ok. Already straggling despite being on the windowsill. It happens every year-I never do learn.

    Sitting room is starting to look like a garden centre already. Pasting table is up with 3 heated propogators ready and waiting.

    Going to try and keep it sensible this year, I always sow too much too early.

    Today I sowed:

    Sweet Pea Fandango.
    Sweet Pea Giant Waved.
    Sweet Pea Old Fashioned Mixed.

    Cucumber Picasso F1.
    Melon Emir F1.
    Cayenne Pepper.
    Jalapeno Hot.
    Pepper Hot Fuego F1.

    Hopefully the snow will be gone soon, and 2009 is officially open

    Garden is looking pretty drab, but there is some sun warming the bottom greenhouse today, so time to start off a few seeds.

    This year I will try to be a little more organised, labelling will be a great start, and probably taking a bit more time to realise how much bigger the plants will be when they are grown.
