    ALYS FOWLER to join the grapevine!

    It's time to put your thinking caps on... because the wonderful Alys Fowler will be answering questions from the grapevine for one day this month!

    The Gardeners' World and Guardian horticultural expert has recently joined the editorial team at Grow Your Own as the Container Gardener and is celebrating by answering readers' questions on this forum on Monday 23rd May. If you have a gardening question for Alys make sure you post it in this forum between 6th-22nd May. Please post only 1 question per thread.

    Whether you'd like Alys's advice on how to get top results in your own patch, or if you're keen to hear her insider's take on issues faced by the horticultural industry, don't miss this exciting opportunity to speak to one of the country's most innovative gardeners.

    Have I missed something here - been checking all day and no posts answered by Alys?? has there been a problem other than the techie probs?

      Thanks for your comments, everyone. It's great to see so many questions for Alys. Due to the website's recent technical difficulties the online Q&A session has been moved to May 23rd. We hope this will give you even more time to post your gardening queries.

        Not wishing to be ungrateful at all for the lovely service that you provide here, but having had huge difficulties of late trying to access the GYO Forum when I actually want to, or get my threads 'posted', because I take too long to 'compose' my garden witterings, and get 'cut off', I'd prefer that you cross my question off Alys's thread if you'd be so kind.
        Her wisdom can then be passed onto someone else's, where it might be much more needed and appreciated.

          Hi Wellie,

          I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems with the grapevine. Our web team is working very hard to iron out the recent blips and I hope any difficulties will soon be resolved. It will be a pity to lose your question (I enjoyed reading it!) but it will be removed as requested.

            Hey folks,
            I’m going to attempt this marathon answering session whilst trying not to A) drink too much coffee and B) not go off to weed and nibble on things. I’ve just got back from a week of teaching in Italy and the garden’s been having a party without me. It’s riotous, untamed and full of surprises. I want to have a good long look at it all, but first. . . .
