  • Today is the day !

Just thought I would post a quick note here... am new to the forum and am being given the keys to my allotment today ... so to speak.

Have been waiting just about 1year so I guess not to long by some standards.

Little and often I am thinking to begin...

Looking for the staples really .. Spuds, carrots, courgettes etc.... The wife would like some flowers to cut esp. dahlias

Depending on its size I will try and scrounge a greenhouse or coble one together from something.

That's good. It helps to grow things you know you'll eat. Use the search function, there's loads on here about people cobbling together greenhouses and polytunnels at a reasonable price. My greenhouse I got off freecycle. I'll say this now as I'm sure loads will, Plan, Plan and Plan or in my case plan and then ignore it The most important thing is to just well plain ENJOY it!

I remember that feeling - just be sure to stand there for a bit and take it in before you get crackin'. Photos will help you down the line when you are disheartened - dig the photos out and look at what it was.

              Enjoy it.

              Oh, and welcome aboard.

Software, I think - unless someone is planning to bring me a new lappy?

Very nice - no brambles or other nightmares to clear up, by the look of it. Congratulations!
