    Looking for allotment in East London

    Hola,
    This seems to be a reoccuring issue, but I too would like a small allotment to start growing veg for the summer. I tried my council but the waiting list is over 3 years (eesh).

    I am willing to share a plot or even use a bit of a back garden if somebody has it available!

    I live in E10 (Between Leytonstone and Walthamstow).

    Any help at all would be very much appreciated!

    Hi Whitehaart,

    As I live in E17 I'm assuming you tried LB Waltham Forest? Did you get the contact details of the privately owned and managed ones from the allotments officer? Their website says he will give them if asked.

    I admit I phoned/emailed him every other month to see if I had gone up the list and managed to get my plot after a year but that was a couple of years ago as the allotment boom started going again.

    Have you tried Redbridge or Newham?

      Sharing Organic Allotment

      Dear Whitehaart,
      If you are still not fixed up, I have a plot off Lea Bridge Road near Markhouse Road that I have kept organic for 25 years. I don't have as much time to devote to it now so would like to find people to share with.

        Hallo I saw this thread and wondered if you still had your allotment and wanted to share it bearing in mind this was 8yrs ago...
        I'm living in Walthamstow and desperate to find a plot for this year 2018!

          Rebecca I live in E17 and there are lots of vacant plots in our site although the council will claim the waiting list is closed. Let me know if you’re still looking for a plot and I can give you the details.

            Hi TrixC,

            Would you be able to let me know if you have any vacant plots and which allotment it is? I've been on the lookout for an allotment for quite some time now and more than grateful to share an unused spot.

              Just read the thread and didn't realise how long you have been looking. Have you managed to get a plot yet or are still looking some 9 years later? I hope you are sorted or close to. Good luck
