I'm trying to find an allotment in croydon, close to East Croydon. Could anyone suggest if there are any around that area

there will be some nearby - there is a list on the croydon council website - you'll need to contact their parks and gardens department to go on the waiting list - expect to wait 3 or more years tho! -
croydon council waiting list is closed till the end of the year .... email received today:
"Thank you for your email that you sent into the Parks Mailbox regarding the above matter. I have to advise you that at an Allotment Consultative Panel meeting held last October 2011, it was decided that due to the number of applicants waiting to take on a plot in the Croydon borough was 3 - 4 years, these lists would close from that time until towards the end of this year.
Apologies that we cannot help you with this matter."Comment
