  • Allotments Available in Havering (Essex)

Just in case anyone here is in the Havering area and not a member of the Freegle Cafe group the following email was just sent out:

"If you would like details of one of the free allotments in havering please reply on here and I will post details and phone numbers. There are some free plots and others are on a short list waiting till the end of this month.
You can get exercise much cheaper than going to a gym home grown food veg fruit or flowers.
Lots of women have plots now and toilets are provided at all sites.
Join the community you can reuse waste food as compost reuse wood for sheds and walls free tools can be requested on the freegle site.
If people do not use them or get interested the sites will be built on.Melville road Rainham has spare plots now waiting for people as have many other sites."

If anyone is interested PM me and I'll give you the person's email address so you can contact them.

There's quite a few nearby, see this page: https://www.havering.gov.uk/Pages/Se...llotments.aspx

Mine is in Grey Towers, a decent site but there are quite a few closer to you by the look of it. You should take a look at them then ring up on the ones that take your fancy.
My gardening blog: In Spades, last update 30th April 2018.

Have you sent a PM to VickiB? May not see your reply. The post was made 16 months ago so contacting Havering Council may be better.
