  • What's on your plot? recently sowed and ready to harvest!

Just interested to see what everyone else has got!

I have potatoes, onions, beetroot, broad beans, leeks, garlic! Everything else has been gobbled up by me and the resident rat!

Parsnips, kale and leeks doing well and being eaten now by us. Chinese cabbage looking large and being eaten by slugs and caterpillers and is home to lots of spiders!

Garlic and onions in for next year.

Salad and broad beans in the greenhouse

My pickings today - last of the butternuts, several heads of broccoli for the freezer and a big bunch of radishes - oh and an experimental handful of baby cavolo nero leaves.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Eating from storage - 3 types of spuds, 3 types of onion, garlic, apples and squashes, salted runner beans, frozen peas, French beans, courgettes, tomatillos, broad beans, sweetcorn and toms

Fresh from the plot / greenhouse - more toms, chillies, carrots, kale, parsnips, swede and turnips

Not started yet / over winterng - winter cabbage, PSB, spring cabbage, sprouts, broad beans, garlic and winter onions. Also some winter lettuce in the greenhouse but they won't be growing much now!

Probably a few other things but can't think right now.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

In the ground: big leeks and little leeks (spares so squished together to make trendy 'baby leeks' , early and late psb, red bor kale, cavalo nero and some beetroot that I keep meaning to pick but haven't got round to it.

In the greenhouse: chilis and sweet peppers.

In the fridge: the remains of my 30+kg glut of tomatoes.

Just gone in new allotment today: onions and garlic.

In seed trays waiting to go into new allotment: broadies.
