  • Water butt and willow

    Hi all,

My water butt on the plot is uncovered with a bit of plastic sheeting forming a small rain catch that empties into it. My plot has a big goat willow on it. The seed pods are blowing into the water butt. Will this pose a problem for me? I hope to get a better system so the water butt can be covered, but do I need to fish out the seed pods?

    Thanks!

The only possible extra problem I can think of is the seeds blocking a tap, if there is one - I'd leave them.

Luckily I haven't had that many blow in. They're well below the tap (and spread over the rest of my plot trying to make new trees. Bah.). Thanks as always, nick!
