  • Strong wellies

I'm looking to buy a decent pair of wellies with a good strong sole suitable for wearing while digging, in cheap wellies you feel the fork or spade through the sole and so can't apply to much pressure. Any recommendations would be welcome, Thanks Guys.
    Sorry about tha misspelling!!

I don’t know if Lidl have them in their UK stores, but here in Ireland they have them for €10, I didn’t buy any as I have 2 pairs myself but I seen them last weekend and they looked good, have a removable insole. The only thing they were lacking was a protected toe and sole. Having stood on a nail years ago I always get working no boots and working wellies with protective toes and soles. They cost a bit more but are worth it.
Here are the Lidl ones if the picture will upload Click image for larger version

Lidl do have the here Can if that's the ones with neoprene tops I also saw them last week but like you I would go for an industrial quality pair from Arco if they are still in the go
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

You can similar ones a bit cheaper from Screwfix. Miles better than wellies. Especially if prone to standing on nails like me. Warm, comfy, waterproof and give protection.

I've tried two pairs of those lined rigger boots but have found the lining goes well before the boot gets worn. It would come out of boot and make taking them off quickly impossible. Anyone found a reliable brand?
For time being am using steel toecap wellies (vat free) with boot socks.
