  • Soaking wet

I've just put my wellies and coat on and gone out to have a walk round. I took a few photos whilst I was out.

This a new view of the wildlife area (where a pond will be put at some point)

Err...looks like you already have a pond.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

I think every plot has that much water on though! Probably more now as it's not stopped raining.

        :-)

          Oh Bugger.

That 'pond' is right next to my plot, and I think it may be slightly higher up so my plot must be back to looking like the Somme again

I will have to drop by tonight if I can to survey the damage.

On the bright side, I won't have to worry about watering my brassica seedlings that I put in on Sunday

Where are the rest of your photos, Alldigging?

Your plot does indeed resemble the somme.

Didn't get that far down the site yesterday to see how it is drying up. But every plot is absolutely saturated. My back garden has never been so flooded ever, we've broken all records.

Oh dear - so different to us and our dry soil atm. Hope you all dry out soon enough to save your plants

Well, at least you have just saved me a trip - there will be no chance of getting anything done until next week, assuming we don't get drowned in the meantime.

This will be the ultimate test of the temporary drains we put in - lets see how they cope once it stops raining for a while
