  • Pea Protection

    Hi Guys,

I keep trying to grow peas and petit pois on my allotment, however every time I plant them out, the birds keep eating them ! Has anyone got any advice on keeping them at bay? I've already lost one crop.

    Thanks

Try netting them or put some kind of deterent near them, pots on stakes, old CD's, old video tape etc.

Presumably you've put in pea sticks or some sort of support for them. Either drape netting over, or run criss cross strings around and between the sticks.

        Try this amiiwu...

Net them amiiwu, asap, that will stop the birds, plus try using fine netting, that should deter the pea-mouth at the same time, which no doubt will be paying us all a visit shortly!!
