  • Organic Wood Preservative!!

Hi, hoping someone can help, I have been told that an article recently appeared in Grow Your Own magazine on how to make your own organic wood preservative, apparently the May 2009 issue, has anyone read this and if so do they have the recipe or description of how to make this, the article was I think by Andi Cleveley.

Had a quick flick through. Andi Cleveley article is on seed hybridisation.

Just a thought but most things that stop rot won't be that pleasant by definition.

For raised bed use you can use old scaf boards as there probably wont be much preservative left....or timber that has good longevity, chestnut, oak cedar etc.

or of course there is the option of providing old compost sacking etc as a barrier between tanalized wood and the soil.
