Before I took over my half plot at the end of April I'd been on lists for a few allotment well over 2 years, well I took a phone call this morning from the original allotment I wanted to go on that a plot is coming available its a 5 mins walk from our house instead of 30 mins. I'm off shortly to take a look, If I take it (which I probably well) I be keeping my other plot for at least next season as I've just it with muck

Good luck with the new plot, Chris.
If its not been used for a while it will be time well spent fettling it and using your existing plot for next years veg.
You could aways grow lots of spuds in the new one to help sort out the ground.
Ive got a rotovater for ours now .. should have got one years 3 ago when we took our over as it was in poor condition.
