  • Double The Fun!!

Just wanted to let you all know because I am so excited. I've heard back from our club secretary and he has said there is no problem with me taking over the plot next door so I will have double the room. I am going to let the council clear this one though as I'm still ploughing my way through the first.

Crikey bex you are going to be busy but think of all the things you can grow, have you a plan or like me going to stumble thro things for a while.

If not sure you could ask for good space use ideas so it doesnt become overgrown again whilst empty, i would definitely recomend courgettes for this as had one very productive one this year worked a treat!!

    Good luck.

      Hi Annie

I'm still busy clearing the one I have now but have managed to get onions, garlic and peas in. As I'm clearing it this weekend I will scatter some green manure seeds and let these do there thing until spring. I'll also do this when the council have cleared my new one.

Other than that I haven't got a plan, I am slowely but surely collecting seeds and am willing to give anything a go. I was just looking at the post on Asparagus might give that a whirl.

That's great Bex. We took on a second one part way through last year and this is now looking better than the first but we plan to get back in control over the coming months, especially as I now have a load of fruit bushes to plant out and we've realised the positions we had things in didn't work. We started with a plan but it wasn't the best and are now revisiting.

Having more space definitely makes planning the rotation easier and allows you a chance to try different things and multiple varieties.

        Go for it! Enjoy!
        Bright Blessings
