    can i do this

    hello

    im lookin for some advice

    have a silly question, ive had my half plot just over a year now, and now have got the bug in growin my own lol so am i allowed to put my name down for a full plot and give my half plot back? hope this makes sense

    when i put my name down for a plot i waited about a year before the council offered me this half plot

    Hello!

    I think it depends on the site. At my allotment site you are allowed to do this. We have to 'prove' we are willing and able to maintain the plot before we put our name down for a larger plot. Ask your allotment officers if this can be done?

          on our site you have to have cultivated your plot for 6months then you can go on the waiting list for an additional half plot, when you get to the top of the list you can have the next half that becomes available anywhere on site or wait at the top of the list for the other half of yours or one very close to become vacant, hope that makes sense. As there are so many half plots on our site now sometimes people are moved to a full plot instead, but if youve got fruit bushes/trees or permanent crops such as asparagus or a poly tunnel/greenhouse people dont always want to give those up (i know i wouldnt)

            thanx for ur ur reply i can c where u r comin from the guy who has the other plot i cant see him giving the half the plot up
            when i first put my name down for this plot i waited about a year before council offered me this
