Default Unknown Insect

Got something flying round in my greenhouse but dunno what it is!
About the size of a wasp but a lot thinner and is all black with 1 yellow stripe on it.Any ideas>

Not really, but (as a wild guess) it may be one of the 'hunter' type wasps, in which case don't get in its way, because it may be hunting things you want rid of, but probably cn still sting.

Did it look like the first picture ? There are a few hoverflies that resemble wasps.

It looks similar to Sphecidae only fatter and longer
