  • Moth/butterfly ID please.

I disturbed this moth/butterfly this afternoon at the lottie. Does anyone have any idea what it is please? The nearest I could find in my book was a Lime Hawk Moth, but they always have their wings spread open, whereas this one has the wings together.

Thanks VC, that's the very one! I knew someone on here would know the answer. No wonder I couldn't find it - tt wasn't listed in my book.

The UK Moths website is very good and your Moth appears in the Top 20 ID requests so I didn't have to look far Top 20 Moths for Beginners | UKMoths
