What do grapes do with wildflower seeds? Do you sow them in your garden direct, sow in pots to plant out, or scatter on verges and in the countryside? I still have a packet that I got from the bumblebee conservation trust for free, and I'm really not sure of the best way to start them off. I don't have room in my garden, but it seems a waste to scatter them guerrilla style and maybe have none of them grow.

      Endless wonder.

Mothhawk I've tried in the past just scattering them in my garden and nothing came up. So now I treat them like ordinary annual flower, seed tray then pick into news paper pots then finally plant them.

This link may be useful in the rush tomorrow https://www.growwilduk.com/

I too have tried all the methods for growing such plants, with varied success. My maddest idea was to scatter them across my gravelled front garden (I know, gravelled!!) and that has seen moderate success. I'm the only front garden locally with a giant fennel plant in it!

              Might well work!

There was a GQT recently in Cheltenham where some lady wanted to know what plants might seed in gravel as all her street was gravel fronted for parking and she though it needed brighteninog up.
They suggested several seeds to use and a paper round as a way of going door to door.

Thank you for the tip off. I'll have to look out for that. (Don't usually watch Countryfile.)

I think these are the same as we've been given for the community garden and allotment.

They came with cute little bee boxes to make. Maybe uselfull for maybe lace wings or ladybirds and that's if they survive a winter of weather.
