  • Do blackbirds like Tayberries?

I can guarantee they LOVE 'em! The first sign of mine ripening this morning and the blackbirds have been relentless. They are now sat in front of the bush working out how to get past the newly draped netting which has stopped their little games.

Just treat them like blackberries re training etc and you'll be fine.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Quick tip. Tayberries make wonderful gin. Nicer than sloe gin in my opinion.

That pesky blackbird is really pushing his luck. I don't mind him eating a few which I haven't managed to cover with netting, but now he's just pulling them all off and leaving them around the garden without even attempting to eat any. He must have found a way of getting inside the netting and back out again. Grrrrrrr!
