    Default Caterpillar id

    Found a pale caterpillar on a stem of my honeysuckle, just thought it was wood stem until it moved
    When i put it in my hand it stayed perfectly still.playing dead.

    Was a caterpillar day yesterday , on dog walk there lots of webs full of black caterpillars in a tree. Not sure what they were either but didnt have phone for a pic.

    Yes thats the idea. I need to walk backmin that walk by river and take my phone to get pics and see what type of tree theyre on, wasnt a pine though.

    Oak processionary caterpillars in the south-east of the UK. Here's a YouTube video with info from the Forestry Commission. Whatever the caterpillars are, it might be worth reporting just in case if you've never seen them before.
