  • Advice on new area.

    Evening everyone.

We are going to have a patch of ground at the end of our garden that we would like to be a wildlife friendly area.
The patch is about 6m by 1.5m and will be a raised bank. Its gets full sun from midday onwards but is in shade until then.

Can people recommend some good plants for:
    1. attracting insects, bees, and maybe birds as well (hopefully the bird feeders will be doing this job)
    2. look good.
    3. Low maintenance
    4. Wont spread onto the raised beds.

    Thanks in advance.

Buddleia - may be too tall for your purposes, foxgloves, hardy geranium. Single flowers are generally better than doubles for bees and butterflies.
