Default Bird Boxes

I put up several Tit and open fronted bird boxes this February in the hope that I might have a nest next year.......I was thrilled to see a Blue Tit popping in and out of one the other week and again this week.
I know he's probably only checking it out at the mo and might not use it at all but it's a great start!
Fingers crossed the others attract some attention too.

I also had 5 Jackdaws squeezed onto my bird table yesterday ...now that was a sight!

It's so exciting to see a bird investigating a nest box! We have a new box on our willow tree - the one I built for this month's GYO in fact. I only put it up temporarily for the photograph (one wonky screw, and much too low) but the birds have already been taking an interest. I can't decide if I should go and move it, or leave them to it and hope for the best!

Move it quick - think how unhappy you'd be if they moved in only for predators to get at them?!
