  • Asian hornet advice.

Yesterday I was chatting to a bee keeper who was saying he's got loads of asian hornets attacking his bees.
    (NB...I live in France)

Another guy overheard us and said he was advised to place his hives within his chicken run.
The chooks tend to catch them whilst they are hovering and eat them!
yes, they do still lose a few bees, but less than before.

just thought I'd pass this info on to anyone else bothered by either European or Asian hornets.
    worth a try maybe?

          I wouldn't have thought eating a Hornet/Bee /Wasp would do a clucky any good?
Feed the soil, not the plants.
          (helps if you have cluckies)

We've got Giant Asian Hornets and European Hornets in our area. So far, no sighting of the Asian ones. But as the climate changes, it's bound to arrive from elsewhere in Spain. Not good at all.

They've done well at eliminating nests in the UK so far. Hope they manage to keep it up.
