  • Advice needed on this small hive please

I have just seen a thread on the MSE site regarding a Wildlife World Solitary Bee Hive.

It is half price so I was wondering whether it would be worth buying for a small garden?

Wildlife World Solitary Bee Hive: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors

The only thing is, my 12 year old isn't keen on bees and my husband thinks I would be mad to buy this.

Would we have loads of bees hovering around us if I bought one of these?

In my honest opinion, dont bother, the bees make their own nest/s and wont come looking for one, sorry, someone who knows more may come along and say otherwise.
Try a beepol (cant do alink, computer idiot!!) they are fab and you only see the bees if you go looking

To be honest we have had a red tailed bumble bee going and coming in the compost bin over the past couple of weeks.

Think I will give the Amazon one a miss and see what happens with the compost bin instead!
