It's being eaten by snails, so they like the taste of it! Leaves are as large as dock leaves. It's furry white underneath.

I don't think so as comfrey is about a metre away from it, growing well and flowering, it's about 1 metre tall. This plant came up at about the same time as the comfrey started shooting, but this is all it's grown to. - Not very high at all, about 20 cms tall if that. And it doesn't look like my comfrey - unless there are different varieties?You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

Yes there are different varieties. But that could be borage - hard to tell as the photo is so small.

Just looked up borage and it says its aka as tuberose comfrey. My comfrey (which I got from a friends allotment) has lilac flowers, the bees are crazy in there all day, humming away - they sound like they are in a tunnel far away!You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

Looks like comfrey to me.. Same shape leaves as my lot
Edit: as the others say, now I can see the larger photo - possible a foxglove

i just nipped down the bottom of my garden (in my pyjamas!) My comfrey although tall has small leaves, the leaves on the mystery plant are huge - dock leaf size. My comfrey has 'grabby' leaves and the stems are velcro like too. I'm now wondering is it's comfrey at all, now that 3 of you experts have said my mystery one is comfrey!!You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...
