    I bought round up to clear a massive part of the allotment this is very expensive are there any other decent weed killers out there ???

    I do have a hoe I have only had the allotment for 4 weeks done alot of clearing but there's one bug part that I can't really get into as it's all brambles etc I wanted to spray it then come back a week later and hopefully it will all be a little more managable

    Cut down as much bramble as you can then pull or dig out the roots. Its much better than using weedkiller. When the ground is as wet as it is at the moment the roots come out quite easily.

    That's what bonfire night is usually for - after all the summer's crops are down - all the stuff that can't be used gets burnt.

    Depends on what your allotment site will allow. Ours used to have a big collecting area for green waste. At home, I pile up the brambles to dry them off then burn.
    Even if use weedkiller, you still have to dispose of the brambles. Unfortunately, weedkiller doesn't eat weeds, only kills them

    Bramble is still bramble even after its been weedkilled. Flame thrower with fire exstinguisher at the ready?
