    Hi,

Anyone know what this weird look bug is, it curls its tail like a scorpion, and has big pinchers at the front.

I'd leave it be- It will eat other insects which may be good or bad depending on what they kill. They will eat worms, but I think I'm more danger to the worm population ( armed with a spade)than that little beetle.
It's lovely what you notice when your pootling about isn't it!!

Keep your fingers away from them. I remember my brother running up the garden with one dangling from his finger when we were kids. Scarred him for life.

    Definitely Devils Coach Horse.

I think they're basically harmless bjblackmore but you can read all about them on the link.
