Default Wasp?

Had to let you all know that it is so mild here that I just killed a wasp!!

Brought a horse rug into the house to use it to repair one that has gotten ripped and the flipping thing must have been inside the rug!!! It was huge!

Yuk, I hate them!

She was probably a queen, they find somewhere to lie dormant for the winter before looking for a new nest site in the spring.

You're right Shirl. There's been no winter. If we don't get a good hard spell we'll be swarming with insects next summer.

Mr D was surprised to see a rather large Bee fly past his nose yesterday whilst doing his deliveries, from the sound of it I think it was a queen! He let it alone, tho did tell it that it was a bit early yet, but then again, insects, plants and animals seem to have a knack of knowing what the weather ahead is like, so maybe winter isnt happening this year after all! (I'm still hanging fire until later to do any outdoor planting tho!)
