  • Strange looking bugs on my runner bean leaves.

I found these bugs on the leaves of my runner beans.

I've never seen these before so are a new one to me.
I don't even recall seeing the. When I was a kid in my grandads' garden when he used to grow his own produce.

I'm not too concerned by them as my mrs harvested the runner beans last week and we had quite the harvest.
I am planning on buying some ladybugs to deal with the black fly issue I have in my front garden, and my neighbours where they came from, and if they can deal with these too then that'll be great.

Any ideas on what they are?

I think they are probably shield bugs, Chomerley. They are sap sucking insects, some damage plants, but others really do very little damage. Depends which you've got, 'cos there's quite a few different ones. sorry I can't be more help.

    Endless wonder.
