  • Spanish Bluebells, to burn or compost.

    Title says it all.
I have 1000's of the things and I want rid.
I would prefer to compost but I do not want them regrowing when compost is spread in 12 months or so.
    Your thoughts are most welcome.
Feed the soil, not the plants.
    (helps if you have cluckies)

From here: Bluebells as weeds / Royal Horticultural Society

"Caution: do not dispose of bulbs by adding them to the garden compost heap and never discard unwanted bulbs in the countryside. Consign them to a black plastic sack and leave for a year before composting."

You digging them up? I think that is the only known way to get rid of the blessed things. Resistent to herbicides IIRC

Please not. Not with Spanish Bluebells anyway, they are a promiscuous thug.
