    slugs

    Afternoon All

    Sick of slugs, i put down some pellets last night.

    just got back from work and they seemed to have worked, as my half chewed plants did not get chewed at all.

    Slugs were there though as the trails seemed to be everywhere this afternoon. i have never noticed the trails before.

    Is this normal or have the pellets simply attracted more slugs?

    I've seen the same thing - if I understand it correctly the aveage slug wibbles along happily through life not leaving much of a visible trail for the most part. When it gets poisoned (sorry, but there it is) by the pellets its entire system gets thrown out of kilter and it leaves a much more visible trail in its final death throes. Yuk.

    But basically, you havent attracted any more slugs, just killed some of the ones already there and made their trails easier to see!
