Default slug pellets help

Without thinking I threw slug pellets all over my lettuce bed some have gone in between the leaves too many to pick of how long will they be poisonous are the lettuce ruined? Will the rain sort it out?

They shouldn't harm your plants PP. The rain will wash them off. You often need to re-apply pellets if they've had a good soaking.

You don't need to use loads and loads of slug pellets, I usually stand well away from the plants and broadcast a small handful over a large area. They won't harm the plants, and the rain will soon wash them away, so if the weather is wet for some time you will need to re-apply when they dissolve. I assume you will wash your lettuces before eating them anyway.
