  • Redberry Mite - Any advice ?

Well Ihave now found out what is causing my blackberries to not ripen properly. It is something that none of my books even mention let alone tell how to get rid off Redberry mite is not visible to the naked eye yet it has decimated my blackberries with barely half the crop edible.

American sites recomend either 'Lime Sulphur' or 'Horticultural Oils'

Is 'Lime Sulphur' still available in UK or has it been banned :?:

For 'Horticultural Oils' the American sites recomend Golden Pest Spray Oil does anyone know what the English equivalent might be, or any other horticultural oil that might banish these pesky mites.

VC thanks, this morning I found a huge bramble growing just outside our back fence, it's looking pretty manky and maybe the sourceof these mites which I was told can drift in on the wind. Will need to ask the person who owns the land at the back if I can do something with it!!!
