Has anyone ever used citronella oil to repel spiders?
Hallo,
I wonder if anyone can comment on whether citronella oil is an effective deterrent for spiders? For example, sprayed around windows to stop them creeping in?

Dunno. Spiders are welcome in my house: they eat the flies & gnats

Only ever used it against midges.

It's conkers that repel spiders..... you can get a spray from those home catalogue places (like betterware).

I like spiders, case of having to really = I live in an old cottage and can't get rid of them anyway. They do at least get rid of or keep down the real nasties.

I don't so much mind the 'daddy long legs', it's big hairy ones the size of two-pound coins or larger that bother me *shudder*
