  • Composting Whitefly

I am about to take the last of the Purple Sprouting Brocolli out and there seems to be a lot of whitefly on the leaves. Is it OK to compost the leaves or will it just enable to whitefly to multiply uncontrollably

Any advice would be much appreciated

Compost it. With nothing to feed on the whitefly will die.

If it gets hot enough that should finish them off too.

I compost blackfly and cabbage white caterpillars too. I grow nasturtiums, used in salad and as a sacrificial crop: let them get infested and then pull up the whole plant and compost it in the dalek (lid on of course)
