  • Cheap Enviromesh

I have come across a Scottish company selling used insect netting at reduced prices.

I bought some in the past and it has lasted very well.

Niceveg, thanks for the link. :-)

Edit: Just checked out the link. I think I'll ask on my site if anyone else want's to go halves as it's a little on the pricey side for me. I've just started my lottie and 13 x 13 metres is a bit too much :-)

A few years ago on here,a person got some, and shared with some off us,they even went to the bother of package and posting after sending the postage, all excelant, but on unwrapping it,i was very disappointed in it,it has lots of snags and tears in,i am used to sewing all kinds of fabric, but this is not good, where the lockstitch line is,it pulls the strands apart,as it is only very fine plastic/nylon strands woven together, and not secured where they strands overlap,at that time,it had to be purchased in to big a lot for any one person, hence being shared, the width is made up of 3 strips joined together, the joining's areas are very strong,i have 10 mtrs of it in a big bag, waiting for me to think what else to do about it grrrr,at the moment tis not needed, but might be at home if i come up with an idea,i hope the MODS are not offended by my post remarks,my advice for anyone getting any second hand is,ask before you commite,as to any damage areas, yes,it is cheap, but,if it cannot be repaired, then it's no good in a big lump to make a large caged are cover
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

The Mods aren't offended at all Lottie Dolly but we are curious when new members' first posts contain advertising links.

I struggle to believe this is a genuine post..... " I have come across " suggesting it is a new find......then the statement " I bought some in the past"......

If my belief is wrong and it is a genuine post I apologise

and its the very first, and only, post ... I know VC already said that but ... its the very first, and only, post I'm always suspicious when someone goes to all the trouble of registering to then recommend something.

Perhaps the link should be removed until the O/P comes back and explains that they are unconnected with the company?

I'm sure a Goggle would find the supplier is anyone is interested.

                sorry for causing such debate

                Hi,

I am very new to forums etc.... & not at all used to how they work so I thought I would do a test on something not personal to see how they work.

I came across this as I recently received a email from this company saying they had used netting for sale. I actually bought new netting from them as only starting out & not really sure what I needed, but knew that I wanted to keep my cat off the vegetables as my husband felt the need to use slug pellets. the net did keep the cat & many other pests off but it was finer & new so can't comment on the quality of the used netting.

I have taken a break from growing veg etc... due to having children but thinking it may be fun to start up again now they are a little bigger.

I am really sorry for all they confusion & worry caused, I wasn't even sure it would show up anywhere & just playing around.
