Default Storm Damage

How did everyone get on during the past few days? I think I've been really lucky - the greenhouse suffered some damage which I've managed to fix today (hands are a bit battered now), but the house is OK. The wheely bins blew over in spite of being full, and it was quite scary at times

You have been really lucky Rustylady. About 13 people were killed and others have suffered major damage to property and all the people who have been without electricity. I don't think we have had the worst of the winds here although my neighbours roof has blown away twice since new year.
Maybe I'm just older and wiser, but I just think if the people are OK it doesn't matter. All else is only things and it's insured anyway..
Don't mean to be unsympathetic, just glad you don't have any major disaster on your hands.

Default My little corner

We've been generally ok. A few fences or fence panels down, some trees lost down by the big tesco. No damage to our garden or lottie although some structures are damaged down there they are repairable. A few human casualties but I'm not aware of any deaths. Generally we have got away very lightly.

I agree Alice that while loss of property can be very disheartening, even upsetting these things are generally repairable/replaceable and it is the loss of life that is the more upsetting.
