Default Spring - is it here?

Is it? I've got violets flowering, the snowdrops are fabulous, and I'm sure the grass is starting to grow again.

I saw a big fat bumble Wednesday last week, and he was terribly lost. He headed towards a pot of universal pansies on the table in the middle of the veg garden and almost did a double take, like " Where am I? What am I doing here?" and then flew off....... Bugger!

...but not quite.!
I took an executive decision last evening to fetch my toms, aubs, peppers and anything else 'delicate' from the small greenhouse, because the 'puter forecast for this area spelled a possible frost.
When I woke this morning and saw the frosty greetings from outside the windows, I blessed my soul that I had.
You think Spring is here, then it isn't, then it is, and then it isn't again.....

It was a lovely day here today, sunny and warm but a chilly wind. We were driving round and looking at blossom on the trees and such. Forecast for tomorrow is not nice again though. don't know if we will ever get enough dry days in a row to 1. mow the 'lawn' or 2. put up the greenhouse. Not properly spring here yet!

Doesn't matter with a rotary deck or hydraulic cylinder mower! Just get wet!
